Curriculum
The current curriculum can be viewed by clicking on the books to the left. It is designed to be an educational guide to the history that is incorporated into the festival.

The real Dodge City of the 1870s was a unique phenomenon in the history of the United States. This cow town sprang up virtually overnight and captured the essence of life in the expanding American Southwest. The Old West Festival will be modeled on the layout of the historic Dodge City with the streets and buildings named accordingly.
We plan to have a Student Day in the 2009 Season. Please be sure to let us know if you are interested! You can email our Student Days Coordinator for more information, or check back. We will be adding some particular areas of historical significance and a teacher’s curriculum. Old West Festival will be an ideal place for students yearning to learn more about the American West, and Dodge City in particular!
